Woocommerce hpos compatibility
—
by
We recently enabled the ‘new’ HPOS feature in WooCommerce, excited about the prospective enhancements, particularly regarding site speed. However, upon activation, we encountered several issues. The system identified the Itthinx Affiliates Pro plugin as incompatible with the HPOS function, leading to numerous bugs that affected our website’s operations. We got this error message:
Important
The chosen Commission method is not compatible with WooCommerce HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage).
The Affilites WooCommerce integration will not record referrals until the appropriate commission method has been chosen. The supported method is: Rates. Other methods are not supported with WooCommerce HPOS.
Given the significant benefits of the HPOS feature, which has been part of the official release for over six months, we had to make the tough decision to disable it to maintain site functionality, unfortunately forfeiting the anticipated improvement in site speed.
Understanding the complexity of software interactions, we are reaching out to inquire if there are any plans on your roadmap to update the Itthinx Affiliates Pro plugin to ensure compatibility with WooCommerce’s HPOS feature. Such an enhancement would be incredibly valuable to us, as well as to other businesses utilizing your plugin in tandem with WooCommerce.
We appreciate the hard work and dedication that goes into maintaining and improving software solutions, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to fully utilize the advancements offered by both WooCommerce and Itthinx Affiliates Pro.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to your prompt response.

Hi there,
Welcome to our support forum and many thanks for using our Affiliate management tool on your site.
As for the notice you get, Affiliates Pro is fully compatible with HPOS but the commission method you are using for calculating referral commissions is only supported in non-HPOS installations.
What you should do is create rate(s) using Affiliates > Rates for your commissions. The Rates system has been around for quite some time and offers more flexible options for commission calculations.
You also have the option to create rates from your old data from the same view:

Please review the options described above and if further assistance is needed, you are more than welcome to follow-up here.
Kind regards,
George
