Want to Start Over But Old Database comes Back after Deleting
—
by
Hi,
We are re-launching the affiliate program on our website and id like to start over again fresh.
At first i deleted all the users i didnt want anymore and then thought creating a new account would continue from the last user number. I reduced the affiliate users to 12 from over 100. I thought the next new affiliate would have been 13 but it continued from the last affiliate i deleted instead.
Then i thought, if i delete the plugin, then re-upload it that would remove the old database and id start fresh like i wanted. That didnt work either.
Guess deleting the plugin does not delete the database and or records of old affiliates. I dont have any experience deleting specific individual databases. This generally, i assume happens when the plugin is deleted.
Can you tell me how i can remove the old database and start over again please?
Thanks for your time, much appreciated.
Ben

Hi Ben,
That’s great news.
Hi Ben,
That’s great news.
If you haven’t selected none of the statuses, then it was normal not to receive a notification.
Regarding statuses, this has to do with the referral status. You can define when the admin or affiliate will be notified, on a new pending referral, a new accepted referral or both. The referral status can be seen under Affiliates > Referrals and the default status can be set under Affiliates > Settings, under Referrals tab.
PS. Regarding screenshots you can add one of the free image hosting services on the web, where you can upload an image and use the link anywhere you like afterwards.
Cheers,
George
i changed the settings to pending and accepted and i think that has done the trick now.
I need to get the notification referral emails sent as soon as there is a conversion on the contact forms regardless of the outcome with our response i want the affiliate to be notified.
I think with accepted i would need to approve in the backend as a referral before any notification is sent to admin?
Anyway, i think im all good now but any confirmation would be good.
Thanks again,
Ben

Referrals
Notifications for the site administrator can be enabled here. If the integration used provides its own notification settings, enable these through the integration’s settings or here. Do not enable them both, as that could cause duplicate notifications to be sent.
Referral Notifications
Notify the site administrator
Notifications will be sent to the email address specified in Settings > General, or if indicated, to the email address specified here.
Administrator Email Address
info@emergingtrendsadvisors.com
Notify when a referral is: Accepted Pending

I wanted to send you screen shots but the above is the best i can do.
Ive added an administrator email address where i want the notification emails to be sent but im not getting anything come through. I dont really understand the pending accepted settings so maybe thats wrong.
At the moment its set to Notify when a referral is: Accepted and the email should be sent to info@emergingtrendsadvisors.com but i dont get any notificaiton emails.
The email assigned to the affiliate account gets there notification email but admin doesnt anymore.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi Ben,
Deleting the plugin and database is easier than it seems. All you have to do is visit Affiliates > Settings and under Data Persistence Section, enable the option to delete all the plugin data upon deactivation.
After that deactivate your plugin and everything will be gone.
Kind regards,
George
