URL shortner

Hi all,

Is it possible for us to use a URL shortner, as we would like to use the affiliate link as a customer account number and they are just to long as they are.

Or is there another way for us to create customer account numbers when a customer registers on our website?

      Hi Gunther, I think it really depends on what additional value the service offers for you. I can’t really recommend anyone in particular, but make sure that they don’t filter out the URL parameter that is used by the Affiliates plugin.

    Hi Gunther,

    Yes you can use a URL shortener service to shorten the affiliate links.

    I’m not sure about how you would like to relate customer numbers and affiliate links though. If you’re using an e-commerce solution, the customer numbers are created by the system automatically and are not related to affiliate links or the referring affiliate’s ID.
