Upgrading from Affiliate to Affiliate Pro
—
by
Hi There,
I just purchased Affiliates Pro for http://btbhlm.com which is currently using ;
Affiliates
WooCommerce (light)
Contact Form 7
I purchased the upgrade to hopefully get more control over the Affiliates as we were experiencing an issue where people registering to become an affiliate were not receiving an email to notify them, if they were using gmail or yahoo accounts.
All of the how to’s showed menus that did not exist in Affiliate i.e Automatic approval. So I was hoping Affiliate pro would give us more control.
I was wondering how I upgrade to the PRO version. I have installed the plugin but not activated it yet, as I wanted to backup the existing Affiliate data first.
I cannot get the Affiliate Export to work. I receive the following error.
File not found
Firefox can’t find the file at http://btbhlm.com/wp-content/plugins/affiliates-export/core/generate-file.php?action=generate_file.
Any assistance is appreciated.
Regards,
Brad

Hi Brad,
You can safely upgrade to Affiliates Pro without losing your data. If you have a look at Affiliates>Settings, the last section is called Deactivation and data persistence. If this option is NOT checked, you can delete and reinstall your plugin without losing data. So, you can safely delete Affiliates plugin and then install Affiliates Pro.
Also, after this you should also install Itthinx Updates plugin and fill in your license key.
Once you have installed Affiliates Pro and Itthinx Updates, you can install Affiliates WooCommerce integration ( and all the available integrations ) through Affiliates>Settings>Integrations.
As for the issue, enable debugging in WP and paste your debug.log in pastebin. Also, run the export with another browser and see if the issue persists.
Kind regards,
George
