Unexpected redirections on WordPress due to Groups
—
by
Hi,
We have a multisite WP installed on our company (v.5.1.2). All the subsites are password protected and use Groups (v2.8.0) and Groups Restrict Categories (v2.1.0) to manage the access. The problem detected is that some URLs are redirected (301) just before getting to the login page. The redirections send the user to different sections on the site but with the same page slug (pages have the same name).
E.g.:
We have two URLs
https://subsite1.mysite.com/section-1/the-same-slug
https://subsite1.mysite.com/section-2/the-same-slug
When we send to someone the URL 1, WordPress redirects the user to the URL 2.
This behavior doesn’t happen if we deactivate the Groups plugins.
Best Regards

Hi,
Thanks for using our plugins.
Could you please provide some additional details on your site like the URLs the issue occurs and temp admin access? If your setup is running live at the moment I would also recommend you to create a staging site where we can freely try and test your case. Also, it would be very useful to check your debug.log file and send us a copy with the rest of details to george at itthinx dot com.
Kind regards,
George
