Tracking affiliates on coupon usage

We have just purchased ITThinx Affiliates Pro, installed it, and installed the WooCommerce Light integration.
It seems to work well with the URL tracking, but we cannot get coupon code tracking to work, meaning that our affiliates may potentially lose a lot of their customers. Is there any way to make affiliate tracking work on coupon codes additionally?

A second question, less importantly: Our affiliates’ coupon codes are exclusively for a single brand / a single category. Is there any way to define this other than pick all relevant products? Since the brand holds about 80 products already and keeps expanding, it would be nice if this worked automatically

Ok we did find a solution to our next question.
The problem was simply, that some products did not have the right category.

    Thanks.

Hi Eugen, thank you very much for your reply. We got most of it to work. However, we still have a bit of an issue with limiting commissions to specific categories.

We have tried a few tests on getting rates on specific products (affiliates / rates), and we can get Object to work. But we have tried to work with Term, and this seems to not work at all. We have a group of products in category: Makeup (#56), all of them even have it as their main category, but if we just save with Type: Rate, Value: 0.2, Integration: WooCommerce, Term: Makeup (#56), no products seem to launch the discount.

If we test with individual products added to “Object” instead, it works. But as this is 100+ products and highly dynamic, it would be very preferable if we could get “Term” to work.

    Hi Mikelis,

Good morning. I trust you are well and safe!

Thank you for reaching out and for using Affiliates Pro.

Considering you’ve installed Affiliates Pro, I would advise you to use our Affiliates WooCommerce Integration in place of the WooCommerce Light integration. I am going to send you a copy of the Affiliates WooCommerce Integration to the email used in placing the order.

With regards to the coupons issue, please ensure you’ve generated coupons for each affiliate. You can do that by navigating to Affiliates Coupons > Bulk Options. You can read more here.

Last but not least, once you’ve generated the coupons for the affiliates as indicated above, you can navigate to Marketing > Coupons from your admin dashboard, then proceed to Edit the coupons, and in the Usage restriction section, find the Exclude categories option and specify the product categories you would love the coupons not to apply with.

You can read more on coupon management here.

I remain available if you have any further inquiries.

STAY SAFE and I wish you a very fine and productive day ahead!
    Best,
    Eugen.
