The Username does not exist

I have added affiliates by username but when adding a username in edit an affiliate I get error – username does not exist.

    Hi Vic,

    Thanks for using Affiliates and its extension.

    Yes, you are correct, this happens when you try to edit an affiliate that you manually created.

    When editing affiliate the username field has to be a valid Username (An existing users username).

    To manually have this done, you would need to add a new WordPress user first, after which you can then use that username for the newly created user to add as an affiliate.

    Normally you can allow visitors to sign up as affiliate when registration is enabled for the site. They can do this by filling the affiliates registration form and their user account would be created normally and made an affiliate in the process.
