The url is not using the username

Hello there,

Looks like I’m missing something because I can’t make your plugin “Affiliates By Username” works.

Also, I already check your:

Were do I create Affiliate links?

Username is not working with url

Where to post shortcode

But still not working for me.

If I try with your shortcodes, I can see the right link with the affiliate username at the end of the page.
But I need to replace the link inside the text box.
[affiliates_by_username][affiliates_url][/affiliates_by_username]
[affiliates_by_username][affiliates_affiliate_link][/affiliates_by_username]

Here the screenshot:

Also, inside the “Manage Affiliates” is showing the the link column as:
URL Parameter: ?affiliates=10
I would like to switch to username everywhere.

Can you help me with the solution?
Thank you in advance.-

Hello Eugen, and thank you for you update.
I don’t really understand how this works.

Your username add-on should be replace the ID for the username, everywhere, on the backend for the platform admins and also on the affiliate dashboard. Otherwise, this is extremely confusing for everyone.
Don’t really make any sense to show on the backend the ID and for the affiliates the username.
How we can easy understand who is who when the affiliate mention an username and we have access to ID’s on the backend. All this is very confusing.

I don’t really understand why this add-on exist if can do what I mentioned.
I guess that should be the first feature to offer.

Please, can you provide the right code to switch all to username’s on the admin backend and affiliate dashboard. We do need this works properly.

    Thank you in advance.-

      Hi there Agnieszka,

Good morning. I trust you are well and safe!

      Thank you for the update.

Please notice on the backend you are able to see the username of the affiliate. You can see this by navigating to Affiliates > Referrals . Please see the screenshot below:

Furthermore, you are correct to mention it would be great to replace the ID of the affiliate with the affiliate’s username once, the Affiliates by Username addon is installed and activated, and that is why I mentioned we have considered the request and will be looking into it as a feature request.

The addon was developed principally to allow affiliate links to indicate usernames in addition to the affiliate IDs used normally. And this is made possible for now only with the use of the [affiliates_by_username] shortcode that converts affiliate links by substituting the affiliate ID with the username.

I remain available if you have any further inquiries.

STAY SAFE and I wish you a very fine and productive day ahead!
      Best,
      Eugen.

    Hi Agnieszka,

Good morning and happy new week!

I trust you are well and safe! Thank you for reaching out.

Currently, the plugin only provides the [affiliates_by_username] shortcode that converts affiliate links by substituting the affiliate ID with the username.

We have, however, noted this request and will consider it as a feature request. We are looking at replacing the id with the affiliate’s username when the Affiliates by Username is addon is activated. Once this feature is implemented, I would notify you.

Once again thank you for choosing our Affiliates system.

I remain available if you have any further inquiries!

STAY SAFE and I wish you a very fine and productive day ahead!
    Best,
    Eugen.
