Still not getting referral values correctly

I installed the woocommerce integration and I followed the step to change the referral method (Affiliates_WC_Method::product_rates) and enable referral by product in Woocommerce integration settings (which doesn’t make sense since I don’t want it by product). Still I get $0 referrals. I have a custom referral rate for one of my affiliates but not for the other. Both show no amount.

  1. Hi Steve,

Thank you for allowing us to access your site.

There is a known issue with sites hosted by WP Engine. You can follow the instructions mentioned in the documentation page and contact the WP Engine Support to exclude affiliate links from caching.

    Kind regards,
    George

  2. You should have received a login from sendacarepackage.com

  3. Can you provide us access to your site?
I would like to have a look at your configuration.
Please send your admin login at support@itthinx.com and don’t forget to include a link to your site in the mail body.

  4. I have it setup that way. It still doesn’t work. I just confirmed it and did a test order.

  5. WooCommerce just updated to 2.4.12 now one of the shortcodes do not work on the site.

    Related orders: [affiliates _ woocommerce _ orders status=”” /]

now it just displays that short code on the site where previously it showed the actual detail to the Affiliate.

I have had to add spaces here as I was getting a 404 code when trying to paste the code above in this message.

    1. Hi Wendy,

The shortcode you mention is not one of the shortocodes built-in with Affiliates plugins, seems to be a custom-built shortcode. Does this shortcode reside in functions.php hooked to an action or filter?
Which Affiliates plugin version do you use?

You are always welcome to start a new topic in similar situations, in order to keep the forum clean and organized, unless your comment is related to the original post.

  6. Please make sure that you use Affiliates WooCommerce integration ( not the light version ) and that Affiliates_WC_Method::product_rates is the method chosen under Affiliates>Settings>Commissions.

    Cheers

  7. I did that but it still didn’t work correctly. I still get $0 referrals.

  8. Yes you can.
In your previous comment i thought you considered it an issue.
So the easy way would be to set the default rate for all products to 0.10 and for the affiliates that you want to grant a 15%, set them an attribute of Referral rate with a value of 0.15.

    Kind regards,
    George

  9. So I can only have 1 rate? We have some affiliates who negotiate 15% but our standard is 10%. Multiple rates was supposed to be standard functionality.

  10. You should set the default product rate to 0.10. Also, make sure that you haven’t set an attribute like a referral rate with a value of 0.15 for one of the affiliates.

In general, you can always test your configuration, by adding a test affiliate and make test purchases, in order to avoid waiting for a new order to come in.

    Kind regards,
    George

  11. I would like most affiliates to get 10% as a default but some get 15%. We have some products (gift cards) that don’t count – but I would be ok with figuring that out manually. I think I have done everything I have seen in the forums but it still doesn’t give any value. We don’t have a lot of affiliate traffic right now so it’s difficult to test. I make a change and have to wait until an order comes through.

  12. Hi Steve,

What kind of commissions are you planning to grant to your affiliates?
Is it a default rate for all products or something else?

    Kind regards,
    George
