Showing Excerpts

Hello,

I am very pleased with your plugin, thank you.

I am trying to show teaser excerpts for posts in restricted categories, using the code you provide here: https://github.com/itthinx/groups-excerpts

I inserted the functions.php code into my theme’s functions.php, but the excerpts don’t show. Is there something more I must do to implement this?

    Also, please make sure that you have at least one category that is open to visitors.

    I cannot read code. I tried changing something in the code you offer here: https://github.com/itthinx/groups-excerpts but unsuccessfully.

    Would you kindly let me know how I can show excerpts from restricted posts (by category) on other pages?

    Hi Asaf,

    This happens because Groups excerpts works only for posts. If you noticed the code, if it is not a post, it doesn’t interfere with the output.
    You are welcome to modify the code and implement another check for categories.
