Setting up specific page for affiliates to link to

Hi there,

I have generated the default page for affiliate sign up – however, I need to have the affiliate link go to a particular page – my woocommerce product page and not just my main page.

How do I do this?

Thank you

  1. This seems like the answer here.

I wish you guys would go through the documentation and re-write it. 99% of the docs just tell us exactly what is already said in the settings page and does a terrible job of actually describing what the items mean or do.

    1. Hi Grant,
I’m glad you found the solution, I see that the documentation at the end is useful.
We continue working to improve it, thanks for the suggestions.
      Kind Regards,

  2. He is, and you guys, actually are being vague and I don’t think answering the question.

Here’s an example- I’ve done a podcast interview advertising a specific product. I want to be able to give the affiliate a link he can put in the description that says “buy this product here” and it go directly to that product’s purchase page. What you guys have described doesn’t give us that option from what it seems. And if it does, I’d ask that you guys give a more specific answer on how we provide that link to our affiliate.

  3. Also, why would the affiliates not be receiving an email after signing up as an affiliate?

    1. Hi Jodi,
Remember that even if an affiliate shares the link of a product. If the user ends up buying another product, the affiliate will receive commission as well.
Also, you have available the [affiliates_generate_url], so the affiliate can set the url he wants.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

      1. Yes, I do understand that, but I still can’t find out where I can generate separate affiliate links for separate pages. Your instructions are very vague and when I put in the shortcode (with the url that I want to use) that you indicated, it doesn’t accept it.

Is there no real time support available? I’ve been waiting since Friday for this reply, and it still very vague and unhelpful

        1. Hi Jodi,

I’ve been discussing this topic with Antonio and wanted to help to understand. He has already indicated a direct solution using the [affiliates_generate_url] shortcode that you can offer your affiliates for this:

“I still can’t find out where I can generate separate affiliate links for separate pages”

If you have a look at the documentation, you can see that you can also use the integrations with AddToAny or AddThis to make it very easy to share a link to any page for your affiliates.

I do not see any vagueness in his reply to be honest. He’s a competent member of our support team and trying to help you quickly. If you take the time to follow the indications he gives you and also have a look at the documentation, then it’s very easy to adapt the system without any particular technical knowledge.

I’d appreciate it you take the time to clarify any questions you have so we can really help you. Otherwise or if you feel that the system is not suitable for your purposes, we’ll be happy to issue a refund.

          Cheers

  4. Can I set up separate affiliate links for separate pages? I.e. – one affiliate link to A product, and another link to B product? Also, I’m not a developer, and am not finding the documentation very comprehensive or easy to follow. Where do I put these shortlinks to send to a separate page?

  5. Hi Jodi,
You can modify your affiliate-area page, and use the [affiliates_url] shortcode. Also you have advanced shortcodes like [affiliates_generate_url].
    Kind Regards,
    Antonio B.
