Hi again,
Are you trying to add users to a group upon a formidable form submission? This type of form is not supported by Groups and for that reason it’s better to have a look at Groups Gravity Forms.
However, if you have a different use case in mind, please let me know.

Hi there,
Welcome to our support forum and sorry to hear that you have issues with category restrictions.
Please allow me to confirm once more that the necessary settings for taxonomy restrictions are in place. Once that Groups Restrict Categories plugin is activated, go to Groups > Restrict Categories and make sure that the desired taxonomies are enabled. If not, proceed and select them, and Save the settings. Afterwards go to the categories list, edit the desired category and select or add the group to restrict the category to and hit Update. Does the category render its contents on the frontend for ie a visitor?
If you have followed this process and categories are still accessible in the front-end, then it’s better to have a look at your Dashboard once you provide us with access to a staging clone. For this temp admin account you may use my personal email address george at itthinx dot com.
