Referral online time
—
by
Hi ..
I have bought the pro version.
I want the commission to be based on how active the referral is on our site.
Meaning : How much time the referral have used on the site before giving commission to the affiliate.
From plugin:
Referral timeout
The referral timeout determines for how long a visit via an affiliate link will produce a referral. This setting can be adjusted to range from the individual session to a number of days.
Can you guide me to how and where to set the time for being an active referral?
Thanks.

Is it possible to use ip instead of cookie?
And is it possible to credit the Affiliate when for example the Referral have used 15 hours online at our site?
No that’s not possible, sorry.
Got it.
Sorry.
perfect 🙂
I thought that when buying the pro version.
That the support would have a higher priority ? Or ?
Please have a look to Support hours section.
cheers
And is it possible to use ip instead of cookie?
I wouldn’t recommend it, although the
affiliates_service_affiliate_id
filter could be used if one wanted to implement it.Is it possible to hook the action into another plugin to pay the commission ?
Hi,
yes, please have a look to documentation and API pages.
This page can help you to create referrals in your own hook.
cheers
What i mean :
I a check for how many hours or days an referral have been active before the affiliate is paid.
This value is the cookies lifetime.
If an userA click on the affiliate’s link. If you generate commissions:
– When a new user is registered: The new user has XX days to register and generate commissions.
and/or
– When an user makes a purchase: The userA has XX days to make a purchase and generate commissions.
cheers
But ..
a suggested referral will be valid until one day after she or he clicked that affiliate link.
Doesn’t this mean from visitor until being registered ?
Hi,
in Affiliates->Options you can set the referral timeout.
