Ref-link with more parameters & sublink?

Dear Itthinx-Team,

I have got a Login-Page, where I want to redirect the REF-Links to. This URL has got more than one parameter like: https://leaderclub.network/login/?affiliates=19&action=register

But it doesn’t seem to work, as no affiliates-cookie is set.

Other normal links, like: https://leaderclub.network/?affiliates=19 do work and should be left working.

How can I achieve this?

Thank you for your valued help in advance.

Best,
Martin

  1. Hi Martin,

If the parameter is related to LoginPress, do you have the same issue if you temporary disable it?
Which plugin is it, is it free or premium? Can you share a link where I can find and test it?

    Kind regards,
    George

  2. Hey Martin,

You’re welcome nice to see you again. 🙂

Indeed I get the same results for
    https://leaderclub.network/login/?member=19&action=register
    but not for

    https://leaderclub.network/?member=19&action=register

Is it possible that the cookies are partially rejected ie for the login page only, or allowed only for the homepage and not other subpages?
Please check again the Troubleshooting section I mentioned on my previous reply. Do you use any sort of caching at the moment, as a plugin or even as a service running directly from your hosting server? Regarding the server itself their support team will also be suitable to give you further details.

    Kind regards,
    George

This is logical, because ‘&action=register’ parameter just has an effect on the ‘login’-page. Otherwise it does nothing.

      This must be a ‘LoginPress’-issue.

Can you think of a possible cause? Meaning, that ‘LoginPress’ sets its own cookie and therefore overrides the affiliate-cookie setting?

    Hi George,

nice to hear/read you again. I must appologize, I changed the affiliate-link parameter in the Affiliates Enterprise Settings to “member”, so the correct links are:

    https://leaderclub.network/login/?member=19&action=register

    and

    https://leaderclub.network/?member=19

    Could you pls. try again?

    Best,
    Martin

  4. Hi Martin,

Welcome back to our support forum and many thanks for using our tools on your site.

I have tried both URLs and as it seems no affiliate cookie is stored, so there is an issue with the affiliate cookie specifically.
Please have a look at our Troubleshooting section in the plugin documentation and especially the entries related to caching. It is possible that the affiliate cookie is rejected and in this section we describe the available options to allow it.
If none of the recommendations apply to your case, then please follow-up here with a comment and send us temp admin access to your site and hosting server. For the user you may use my email address: george at itthinx dot com.

    Kind regards,
    George
