Redirecting the affiliate link

Apologies for the newly-ness of this! Most of my affiliates are happy for their link to point to the homepage of the site (eg: siteXYZ.com/?Affiliates=6 shows siteXYZ.com) but one of them wants to send people directly to the shop part of the website. Is it as simple as putting the ?Affiliates code in the obvious place? For example siteXYZ.com/shop/?Affiliates=6.

Or am I being naive?

I have an affiliate link question. When affiliates are registered and we send them their notification, I’d like to send them their affiliate URL in that email. I’ve added [affiliates_url] to the email notification, with appropriate HTML, but their link isn't going through. How do I do that? So it's sent directly to them with their link?

    1. Hi Rebecca,

FYI, the supported tokens for Affiliates notifications can be found here.

At the moment an affiliate can see the links and URLs only by visiting the Affiliates Dashboard on your site, but I would definitely mark your comment as a feature request and check if this can be added in one of the future updates of the plugin.

      Kind regards,
      George

  3. Hey Simon,

You shouldn’t worry about your question. Yes it is actually that simple as adding the affiliate URL parameter with the affiliate id.
    For example the URL
    siteXYZ.com/shop/?Affiliates=6
will store a cookie for affiliate with id 6 to the users browser and can result in a referral, as long as this affiliate is active and your affiliate URL parameter is Affiliates.

Furthermore, with the premium versions of the plugin, in Affiliates Dashboard Overview your affiliates can create affiliate links for any URL on your site.

    Kind regards,
    George
