Problems with notification emails
—
by
I have installed Affiliates Pro for Woocommerce and it seems to be working great. However I’m having a couple of problems with the notification emails.
1. Affiliates receive a referral email even when a sale is not complete.
This most recently happened when a customer’s payment failed through Paypal. Here is the error message that appears in the Order Notes:
“PayPal Pro payment failed (Correlation ID: xxxxxxxx). Payment was rejected due to an error: (15005) “This transaction cannot be processed.” Order status changed from pending to failed.”
The customer received the regular referral notification message, even though the order never went through.
2. I (as the administrator) am receiving double notification emails for each referral. For a single affiliate sale, I will receive two notifications at exactly the same time. I have checked my settings in the Notifications section and everything looks OK.
Here are the settings that I have in the notification section:
Enable Notifications – CHECKED
Notify the site administrator – CHECKED
Accepted – CHECKED for administrator
Pending – NOT CHECKED for administrator
Notify the affiliates – CHECKED
Accepted – CHECKED for affiliates
Pending – NOT CHECKED for affiliates
We have WordPress 3.7.1, Affiliates Pro 2.4.2 and Affiliates Woocommerce Integration 1.3.4.
This is a really useful piece of software, but any help with these two issues would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
J

Hi James,
On the Affiliates > Options screen under Default referral status, do you have it set to Accepted? If yes, then change that to Pending please, the system will automatically update the referral status when the order status has been updated on successful payment.
The settings you have outlined look ok, please check the above and let me know if you need further help.
