Problem with [referrer_id] not working

I am using a recently purchased Affiliates Enterprise. I have even reinstalled it beofore posting this request for support.

I want to use referrer id to create a custom link from each page.

My problem is this… the [referrer_id] doesn’t work correctly.

The page is http://www.ecig.xxx/ – And you are welcome to become an affiliate or use the login: xxxxxxx xxxxxx for seeing this (an affilate login)

Here is the shortcode on the main page, so you can see how it responds:

Bienvenido a el placer de vapor, donde quieras, cuando quieras.

referrer id [referrer_id]

referrer id direct [referrer_id direct="true"]

affiliates url [affiliates_url]

Los cigarrillos electrónicos es el negocio

To add to the mystery. It seems to work in Google Chrome when logged on as the admin, or not logged on at all, but does not work when logged on as the affiliate. In Firefox it just doesn’t work.

When I log in using internet explorer on my server, it says my affiliate link is 1 (which is not correct).

Any suggestions are welcome. I’m really desperate after trying to figure this out all weekend… and with a management meeting tomorrow 🙁

Thank you!

  1. Embarrassingly, I found that the problem was simply that I was putting Refferer_id and not Affliates_id – and what I needed was, indeed, the affiliates_id. I think the reason why it did not plug in the referrer id was for users that had registered before the affiliate enterprise was installed (so they had no referrer, or it was the same number?).

So I don’t need assistance at this point – but thought I would share that in case someone else got hung up on the same thing.

Thank you so much for the attention Antonio.

    1. perfect 😉
