Prevent Affiliate Coupon “stacking”

Hello,

I would like to be able to use Affiliate Coupons in conjunction with some of our other current coupons. I realize that all I have to do is not check the option “Individual use, coupon cannot be used with other coupons.” in the Affiliate Coupons settings.

However, the problem is that leaving this option unchecked allows the customer to also use other Affiliate Coupons.

In other words, I do want the customer to be able to use an affiliate coupon code with a regular coupon code… but I DO NOT want them to be able to use multiple affiliate coupon codes together in an individual order.

Is this possible?

If it is not possible, as an alternative, is it at all possible to have Affiliates Coupons setup a single affiliate coupon that functions like this (automatically generated for each new account):

If order is less than $200 = 10% discount, if order is between $201 – $900 = 30% discount, if order is more than $901 = 50% discount.

Any guidance you can provide would really be appreciated 🙂

Thank you!

  1. Hi Craig,

You can’t set wildcards at the moment, but you can set literally which coupons to check for exclusions. For example XYZ-3232, XYZ-8987, XYZ-8323 coupons cannot be combined with other coupons.

FYI, I’ll keep in mind the wildcard option as a possible addition to future versions of the plugin.

    Kind regards,
    George

Thank you. Does your premium add-on allow for a “wildcard” function. Since every coupon an affiliate receives is unique, the only way to make that work would be to use a wildcard (*) function, no?

For example, if the system is generating codes like (XYZ-3232, XYZ-8987, XYZ-8323, etc.) I would need to be able to set a rule similar to the following:

IF coupon code starts with “XYZ*”, AND is combined with coupon code “whatever”, THEN [take desired action]

    Thanks!

  3. Hi Craig,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

Perhaps if you have a look at WooCommerce Coupon Exclusions premium addon, which allows you to set conditions for your coupons. For example, you can set an exclusion for one affiliate coupon that won’t be able to be used in conjunction with other coupons, defined on the coupon settings.

    Kind regards,
    George
