Pre-sale Question: Affiliate Products Calculating before Referrals

With Affiliate Products is it possible to have their Author commission deducted before a standard affiliate referral commission is calculated?

As an Example, with a purchase of $150
there is an Author with a commission of $5
An affiliate who refers the sale with a commission of 10%

Does the plugin work like

Option 1
Author gets $5
Referrer gets $15 (10% of 150)

or
Option 2
Author gets $5
Referrer gets $14.50 (10% of 150 – 5 = 145)?

I am looking for a plugin that offers option 2 but I could not tell from the product descriptions if this is possible.

    Hi there,

    Welcome to our support forum.

    With Affiliates Products the product Author will always get a commission and if the sale was referred by an affiliate, this affiliate will also get a commission as defined. I would say it’s closer to the first option.
