Manual payments = commission

What e-commerce solution that integrates with affiliate enterprise supports manual payments to a customer that will record commission. I work for a company that takes mostly payments by check, and I wanted to create a localized affiliate program where I can add the payments manually and it records the commission to the right affiliate(s). Please let me know the best way to make this possible. Thank you.

  1. Hi Jonathan,

    Yes you can.
As long as a referral is recorded, the rest of the process will be followed and the affiliates applicable will get a commission.

I would also like to remind you that access to support and plugin updates is eligible for customers with a valid license and has a duration of 1 year. Expired licenses can be renewed by purchasing the plugins through the shop.

    Kind regards,
    George

  2. Hi Jonathan,

Please have a look at the Examples on Referrals found here. You can find the way to add a referral programmatically. Also keep in mind that you have to trigger a new referral manually as I mentioned on my previous comment.

    Kind regards,
    George

Hi George. I have been doing some testing and it appears I can actually record a payment using the contact form 7. Will this work with multiple tier affiliates of a base commission is submitted on the front end using contract form 7. Seems like it should work. Just wanted to make sure it worked with affiliate enterprise multi tier

  3. Hi Jonathan,

At the moment a referral can only be added manually for orders created in the back-end. The reason for that is simple, there is no hook for back-end orders in WordPress or WooCommerce that could trigger a referral.
    Hope it helps.

    Kind regards,
    George

    1. So there can simply bee a hook added that will makes this work? What would be the best way to go about getting that done?

      Hi George,

Thank you for your response. Would this be need to be a hook created in WordPress, woocomerce, or affiliate enterprise? Is this even possible to get done?

  4. Hi George. Thanks for the response. So I have an older version of affiliate enterprise and I have affiliate permanent and Woocomerce installed. What I’m doing is, recording a specific dollar amount on the back end of WordPress in the woocomerce orders tab. I create a new order, specify the dollar amount, assign it to a customer and then create the order. This is not recording commission to the permanent affiliate. This is what I’m trying to get past. Thanks

  5. Hi Jonathan,

    Thanks for reaching our forum.

Your use case can be fully supported by Affiliates Enterprise, WooCommerce and Affiliates WooCommerce integration. WooCommerce plugin can be downloaded and installed for free and Affiliates WooCommrce integration can be installed through Affiliates > Settings, under Integrations tab.

All the commissions regardless of payment method during checkout will be kept in a dedicated list under Affiliates > Totals where you can narrow it down with filters, mark selected commissions as Closed and also can export a mass payment file which can be used for payment services that support it, ie PayPal.

Furthermore, since you last used our plugin we have also added Affiliates Dashboard which works as a central area for your affiliates to obtain links, view their statistics list their referrals and many more.

FYI, once you obtain a license for Affiliates Enterprise and finish your WooCommerce setup, please don’t hesitate and ask for our help to complete your affiliates setup. You will also find it very useful if you take some time to have a look at the documentation where the plugin features are explained in-depth.

    Kind regards,
    George
