Mailchimp integration

Hi,

I have added the Mailchimp plugin integration, entered my API key and list name… the new submissions from the registration form are not being added. Is this what is supposed to happen with this plugin?

Thanks

    Yes I’m using a list I’ve already created.

      Hi,
      Which version of the Affiliates MailChimp Integration are you using?
      An overview of the extension and its settings is available for a reference in the documentation page, in case we’re missing something -> http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates-enterprise/setup/settings/integrations/mailchimp/

          Hello,
          I did some testing on my own sandbox website – with Affiliates Pro 4.0.4 and MailChimp Integration 3.0.1, and the new affiliates are added to my list at MailChimp both when registered via the form or added manually via Affiliates > Manage Affiliates > New Affiliate. It seems to take a couple of minutes to refresh the list at MailChimp, is all.
          What happens when you try adding an affiliate via the backend, as I mentioned above?
          If you want us to investigate into your site, you might really need to send temporary admin credentials to help [at] itthinx [dot] com. It won’t be possible for me to advise further on the matter if I’m unable to see your settings myself.
          Cheers,

            It seems I cannot add a new affiliate manually, every time the system says ‘username does not exist’ – so I don’t know what’s wrong there.

            As for the mailchimp – everything is set up properly. You can’t login to my site as there are restrictions for anyone outside Australia via our word fence plugin, which I don’t wish to remove as we have been hacked before. Is there are way I can send screenshots of the things you need?

              Hi,
              Try one of those two when adding a new affiliate manually:
              1) Create a new user in WP manually and then specify that username when adding a new affiliate.
              2) Omit the Username field, just type in a (dummy) email.
              Is it possible then that you enable debugging, as George advised in one of your other themes?
              Just a quick reminder, it’s done by adding those lines to your wp-config.php file:
              define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
              define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
              define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );

              Then try registering an affiliate (frontend or backend), check the MailChimp list just in case, and after that check your debug.log file found in the /wp-contents folder for any error messages.
              It would be rather difficult with the screenshots rigth now, as we haven’t been able to identify the source of the problem. You’d have to send me screenshots of every page on your admin backend, editing various settings and taking screenshots again, without me missing any details, and it would take ages. When we have located the possible cause of the problem, I’d be able to request a certain screenshot, thank you for suggesting that 🙂
              Is it possi

  2. Hello there,
    The default behaviour is that whenever an affiliate registers on your site, they are added as a subscriber to your MailChimp list.
    Are you using an already existing MailChimp list (one that you created on MailChimp before writing its name in the integration field)?
    FYI, there is an overview of the extension in the documentation pages that you can check out here if you’d like -> http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates-enterprise/setup/settings/integrations/mailchimp/
    Cheers,
    Denitsa
