Log In issue

I am new to this and I am doing my best.
I have uploaded affiliate pro to my wordpress site and integrated it with woocommerce (which I have woomemberships and woosubscriptions) and ecwid. When an affiliate signs up they receive an email with the log in url to a my account page created in woocommerce instead of the log in – affiliate area. How do I adjust this?

Also, I am trying to embed the registration form on another page. I have no issues embedding it there however, when someone registers they are kept on the same page to log in. Once they log in they stay on the same page where the registration form is instead of going direct to the affiliate area. How do I change that? I have tried so many adjustments to the shortcode and I am getting frustrated.

Please help! lol

  1. You are welcome Luke. 🙂

Please have a look at this Facebook help topic. Although it is not exactly what you need, it is pretty close since Facebook doesn’t allow html.

    Kind regards,
    George

  2. Thank you so much George. I really appreciate it!

I have one more question if you don’t mind?

I would like for my affiliates to be able to place a banner in a facebook post/feed.

How can I do this? Right now when I test it, all that shows up is the code or the image itself and the image is not a link. Is there any way I can make this happen?

  3. Hi Luke,

The my-account page and affiliate area page handle different type of data, that’s why they are separate.
You can use the shortcode [affiliates_registration redirect="true" redirect_to="your_affiliate_area_page_url"].
Inside the notification template, you can use the affiliate area link as html.
    For example:
    Affiliate area

    Kind regards,
    George

  4. Is there anyway of integrating the woocommerce my account page with the affiliate area?

  5. What is actually happening here is that when someone signs up woocommerce automatically creates a user account for it. So when you sign in on that particular page it takes you to the my account page associated with woocommerce instead of redirecting to the affiliate area.
My apologies but I’m confused now! lol

  6. Also, the click here to log in button directs you to the my account page for woocommerce. Can that be changed?

  7. Thank you George,

I am still unsure how the shortcode works. Where do I add the redirect code to? Do I add it inside another code or stand alone? I can’t seem to get it to work.

  8. Hi Luke,

You can modify the notification email through Affiliates > Notifications. There you can add your affiliate area url as the login page for your affiliates.

You can adjust both the registration and login shortcode as described in the documentation here and here. Both these shortcodes accept a redirect attribute to redirect to specific urls after registration and login respectively.

    Kind regards,
    George
