Limiting commission rate if a coupon is used

Hello. I have read a post from 2014 but wanted to make sure if the info was still valid.

I am offering my affiliates 25% commission but if the customer is using a coupon discount how do I drop my affiliates commission down to 10%.

    Thanks Antonio. Great. I have installed that plug-in and change the script.

    So my next question.
    I would like to offer my affiliates different rates. ie. Affilate 1 = 10%. Affiliate 2 = 20%.
    What add-on plug-in do I use for this please.\

      Hi Ann,
      Editing the affiliates from Affiliates->Manage Affiliates you can add a custom rate as attribute to the affiliate. If you use the ‘normal’ commissions method, this attribute is used.
      If you need to use this attribute in the if_coupon custom method, you need to modify the code and create your own custom method using the Affiliates API.

    Hi Antonio – in the section Affiliates>setting:Commissions. I cannot see any check box for “if coupon” in this tab.

    You can use the ‘If coupon’ custom method.
    Remember that you need to select this custom method from Affiliates->Settings:Commissions.
