I want my affiliate links to take my affiliates to my shop’s homepage

Hi there!

I’ve created an affiliate link and given it a username with Affiliates by Username. How I want to use the system is by creating links manually myself and sharing them with affiliates as/when needed. I do not need/want a page on my site for affiliates to check their commission. I just want their affiliate URLs to take referrals to the homepage of my shop.

So, I’ve created http://www.gematria.co.uk/wordpress/naturopatica/ and I want it to land on www.gematria.co.uk/wordpress/. How do I do this?

I basically don’t need any of the admin pages for affiliates to check their own commissions, I just need this system to calculate how much commission to pay them monthly for the sales they’ll do via their affiliate links.

Thank you in advance of your help!

Miguel

  1. Thank you Antonio,

    I’ve created http://www.gematria.co.uk/wordpress/naturopatica/

but I want that URL to land on the shop homepage:

    http://www.gematria.co.uk/wordpress/

Please have a look at where http://www.gematria.co.uk/wordpress/naturopatica/ is taking me. I don’t want my affiliates to land on a page like that. How do I land just on the home page instead?

    Thanks again!

    M

    1. Hi Miguel,

You seem to be wanting to redirect visitors from one page to another. This doesn’t have anything to do with the Affiliates plugins, rather you can use a plugin or server settings that redirect them to the final page.

As to the affiliate links, try generating the affiliate area as outlined in the documentation under Setup. The default link will point to your site’s home with the affiliate ID appended. That’s the affiliate’s link and is specific for each affiliate when logged in.

Basically you can link to any page, as long as the affiliate URL parameter is added correctly. Please refer to the Documentation for details on that.

  2. Hi,
you can create a post/page when the affiliates can see only their links, using for example: [affiliates_by_username][affiliates_affiliate_link][/affiliates_by_username].
Or send them the links manually, example: http://www.example.com/affiliates/billy
Please have a look to documentation.
Assuming that “affiliates” is the Affiliate URL parameter name (Affiliates->Options)
    cheers
