Hi there,
Happy new week! I trust you are well and safe.
Many thanks for using Affiliates and its extension.
The Affiliates by Username plugin is used to allow affiliate links to indicate usernames in addition to the affiliate IDs used normally. This is done by wrapping the shortcodes involved in rendering the Affiliate Links; [affiliates_url] and [affiliates_affiliate_link] with [affiliates_by_username].
Usage
* Simply install and activate the plugin.
* Any affiliate account with an associated user can now use affiliate links that indicate the username instead of the affiliate ID.
Examples
Assuming the user billy has an affiliate account on the site, billy‘s affiliate links normally indicate the affiliate ID, for example, http://www.islandwidecomputer.com/?affiliates=123. With the plugin enabled, the username can be indicated instead:
http://www.islandwidecomputer.com/?affiliates=billy
http://www.islandwidecomputer.com/some-page/?affiliates=billy
Shortcode usage
To render affiliate links based on the username, wrap the shortcodes as shown in these examples:
* [affiliates_by_username][affiliates_url][/affiliates_by_username]
* [affiliates_by_username][affiliates_affiliate_link][/affiliates_by_username]
You can also read more on this on the documentation section: HERE
Once again, I must thank you for using Affiliates and its extensions. We are very glad to have you as our valued customer and I look forward to helping you if you need further assistance.
STAY SAFE and I wish you an amazing and very productive week ahead.
Kindest regards,
Eugen.
How do I do wrap the shortcodes .. ?
where to do that ?

Hi there,
Thanks for the update on your inquiry. I trust you are feeling awesome today!
Permit demonstrate this with an example. Say you would like all the affiliates on the platform to have in addition to the default affiliate links(links with ID’s) to now also have links with their username, then you could do the following:
From your WordPress admin dashboard:
* Navigate to Affiliates -> Settings
* Click on Pages
* Click on the page that contains your [affiliates_dashboard] shortcode.
* Once the page is loaded Edit the page and add the following below the [affiliates_dashboard] shortcode:
Affiliate Link with username: [affiliates_by_username][affiliates_affiliate_link][/affiliates_by_username]
* Update the page. And you are done :).
I wish you an awesome day ahead. And thanks again for being a valued customer of Affiliates.
STAY SAFE and I wish you an amazing and very productive week ahead.
Warm regards,
Eugen.
