How to I add an affiliate to a Group?
—
by
I have created some Rates for different Groups. How do I now assign users to a particular Group? I may want to move them from one Group to another in the future.
Many thanks

That’s great Richard, thanks for the follow-up and for your feedback!
Cheers
Hey Richard,
Sure no worries about the questions.
Regarding Groups and coupons, we also offer a dedicated Groups addon exactly for that purpose, WooCommerce Group Coupons, that restricts coupon usage to specific groups. Please have a look at the description found here.
As for referrals in general, they are calculated based on the net sale total amount, aka the total after any coupon(s) have been applied. Is it possible that you’re using a custom formula and perhaps calculate the commission in a different way? What are your current Rate(s)?
Kind regards,
George
Hi George
Still having some issues with net referral rate so I have sent an email with some screen shots – many thanks
Richard
It’s Ok – fixed. I had the rate wrong – need to use .1 not 10.
Great plugin
Apologies for so many questions.
Am I doing something wrong…
I created a ‘woocommerce’ coupon for 99% discount – used an affiliate link before buying the rpoduct on Strip Test mode
The sale went through and the test user was charged 99% of the total -but the referer earned commission on full product cost – the woocommerce value made no change to referral commission.
Many thanks
Many thanks George that works well. Thank you for the quick reply too.
Regards
Richard
Hi Richard,
That’s an easy process and can be done from Users > All Users. Once you select the desired user(s), you have the option(s) to add them to or remove them from the specified groups.
Please also have a look at Bulk actions section in the documentation below:

Hi George
Is it possible (or could you think about adding this as a feature) to assign bulk coupons to only one Group?
So with some affiliates, I have added them into a ‘Premium Group’ – I can apply a different referral rate. But I would also like to give them a bigger discount coupon.
Group 1 – Coupon – £10 discount and 10% referral earnings
Group 2 – Coupon – £30 discount and 20% referral earnings
Many thanks George.
Regards
Richard
