How to handle discount Coupon
—
by
Hi,
I need your help in setting up the affiliate system. Its currently working as follows:
When the user purchased a specific product i.e Automatic-litter-robot-iii-open-air from Affiliate link and add Affiliate Coupon in the cart page then the user gets the discount and affiliate gets the commission.
If the user did not follow the link just only add discount coupon then the user only gets the discount but the affiliate user did not get the commission.
We need to configure it this way, For affiliate commission don’t need to visit the affiliate URL just only add coupon in the cart/checkout page the user gets the discount and affiliate gets the commission.
I am currently set up in a subfolder here are the links and credentials:

Thanks for the quick response.
Please also answer the following questions:
1. Currently, the Affiliates automatically gets the commission. How to change it to manual?
2. If an affiliate is in the pending state then the affiliate code and discount should stop the work, Currently it’s working on both states and affiliate gets the commission in the pending state, how we can disable the commission and discount on affiliate pending state.
Please also share the advanced Affiliates WooCommerce integration so we can implement it on our live site.
Thanks for your excellent support.
Hi Ken,
You’re very welcome, regarding your questions:
1) You can add referrals manually and you can also use a default status of “Pending” for automatic referrals which are then automatically synchronized based on order status.
I suppose that you are looking for a way to manually add referrals, you will find details on that under the heading “Adding Referrals Manually” on this documentation page: http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates-pro/affiliate-program-management/managing-referrals/
Just in case you would also like to review the default referral status, you will find that documented under “Default referral status” on this page http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates-pro/setup/settings/referrals/
2) Affiliates who are pending do not receive any referrals, you might want to double-check whether the affiliate might have been active before – in that case, those referrals would have been granted before its account was changed to pending.
Regarding the integration, you can install it directly from your dashboard as described on http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates-pro/setup/settings/integrations/ – on some setups, the automatic installation can fail, for example if there are other plugins blocking the installation from other sources than the WordPress.org repositories. If that is the case, you can also install it manually. Please let me know if that’s the case – if yes, then we should at least have a look at your setup as that can also affect updates which you should have access to.
Thank you so much for your kind comment on the support, it’s always a pleasure to be able to help and see our systems deployed successfully.
Cheers
Ok, these changes needed to be done in order to have things set up correctly:
– installed and activated the advanced Affiliates WooCommerce integration
– added a general rule for 10% commission (rate ID 6)
You will see two referrals that were recorded with 0 amounts before I had added the rule mentioned above.
With the above rule, the commission is recorded appropriately, also for the coupon.
Cheers
Hi,
Thanks for the access details, I’ve just had a look and noticed that you still have the “WooCommerce Integration Light” activated instead of the advanced integration for WooCommerce. That explains why the orders with affiliate coupons don’t produce any commissions.
I’ll go ahead and activate the advanced integration for you instead and do another order with the test affiliate account I have created.
Following up right after that …
