How to do generic coupon and a reduced commission?

Hi,

There are a couple of things I want to achieve, but I can’t figure out how (I did read all the documentation)

1. I want to create a coupon but it’s not specific to an affiliate (anybody can use it and the referring affiliate still gets a commission). Do I just create a coupon but not assign it an affiliate?

2. I want to pay a 20% commission to all regular sale, but when a coupon is used, I would only like to pay 10% commission. How do I achieve that?

I am using Affiliate Pro + Woocommerce integration plugins.

The documentation is detailed on a field by field basis, but there’s not much about work flow. I have to put the puzzle pieces together myself.

Thanks,
Kennis

  1. Antonio,
Do I “install” it as a wordpress plugin? That’s what I did and I activated the plugin. I go to Affiliate->Settings, I don’t see anything for me to select. This is the screen print of what I see:

As you see, the “Default Referral Calculation” only has “None”, “Referral Amount”, “Referral Amount Method” and “Referral Rate”. And the “Default Referral Calculation Value” is a text field that you type in with nothing to choose from.

    Thanks for your help.

    1. yes it is a plugin, install and activate it.
      In Affiliates->Settings:
      1.- select ‘Referral amount method’
      2.- Hit ‘Save’ button.
3.- Then you can select ‘ACM::if_coupon’
      cheers

      1. Great! Thank you!

  2. Hi,
1.- Yes, you can create a woocommerce coupon and I do not assign it to anyone.
2.- You need to create a custom method. I have created this custom method with your specifications (after install and activate it in Affiliates->Settings you need to select it), I hope you find it useful.
    cheers
