Help! divi/pro/woocommerce but i can’t get referrals to show

by
I’m using Pro with WooCommerce but no matter what I try, I can’t get any referrals to show up. I want to pay 10% on all Woocommerce purchases but I’ve been working on this for 6 days for hours at a time and must be doing something wrong. I need help or I’ll have to choose another tool.
if I go to https://caneggs.com/?cem=6 – I thought it would stay active until the product was bought. Maybe my DIVI/Woocommerce isn’t setting something. I am desperate.

As long as Affiliates WooCommerce integration is installed and activated, please also have a look at Affiliates > Rates and make sure that you have created at least one rate.
Kind regards,
George
Hey Samir,
Even if the MailPoet plugin doesn’t appear to have a direct connection to that matter, it might even be a setting that is not obvious in the first place. Even if it is using the same cookie name, this is something that we should explore even further.
Perhaps we can offer to have a look at your setup and check where does it affect the cookie storing functionality, if you are willing to provide temp admin access to your site, preferably a staging clone if your site is running live at the moment. For this site it would also be useful if you enable WP debugging. Once these are prepared, you can create the temp admin account using george at itthinx dot com as the email address.
What you are trying to do is possible with Affiliates Pro, once a customer follows the affiliate link, the cookie is stored in the browser and a referral commission is recorded for the referring affiliate. This commission is calculated based on the commission rate you have created.
On the other hand with Affiliates Products addon, you can assign products to affiliates. Whenever a product is bought, referred or not, the assigned affiliate will get a commission. This can be handy if you have only a couple of products.
Kind regards
George
Ok since you located the plugin in question, would you mind sharing it with us so that we can also have a look?
Now that the cookie is stored properly, also make sure that Affiliates WooCommerce integration is installed and activated. This addon is responsible for tracking referred sales on WC shops and can be installed through Affiliates > Settings > Integrations.
Kind regards,
George
It was the MailPOet plugin that seemed to either use the same cookie name or somehow stopped it from being set. The cookie is there, but something else is still keeping any sales from being recorded. I show hits but no referrals. Does a referral have to come from a website (tried) or a direct URl (tried).
I am not a beginner. I know I’ve done something wrong but honestly, after nearly two weeks of troubleshooting, it looks like I have to give up.
Does this plugin even do what I want, because I see you have a different one called PRODUCTS. I want every sale to be credited to an affiliate. That’s all.
I turned off all caches and everything I can think of. I see the cookie is still there at checkout. Maybe I removed a setting while troubleshooting.
Ok. I have found which plugin was causing an issue, but it still seems even with the plugin, it’s not registering referrals.

Thanks Samir, FYI this was during an update which has concluded. You should have everything accessible now.
Hi Samir,
Welcome to our support forum and many thanks for using Affiliates Pro on your site.
After visiting the URL you shared it seems that the cookie is not stored in the browser which is necessary for a referral to be recorded.
Assuming that this URL belongs to a valid and active affiliate, you need to troubleshoot the reason why this is happening. For that purpose we also keep a dedicated section in the plugin documentation:
However, if none of the recommendations apply, then you need to proceed with a quick debug and narrow down the possible source of that issue. Please disable your plugins one-by-one apart from Affiliates Pro and on each deactivation visit the affiliate URL, preferably on a different browser than the one you’re using to view your Dashboard. The cookies stored in ie Chrome browser can be viewed if you right click anywhere on your website, click Inspect, go to Application and expand the Cookies for your domain.

Once you locate the addon responsible for this situation, you should check its settings and find out whether it can block cookies or specific URL parameters. A good place to start would be any possible caching plugins, because most of them usually cache URL parameters which in turn disallows the cookie from being stored in the clients browser.
If further assistance is needed, you are more than welcome to follow-up on this thread.
Kind regards,
George
