Groups file access pdf’s not loading

Hi,

We’ve been using the Groups File Access plugin on our site for a few years now to control access to PDF downloads. Many of our PDF’s have suddenly stopped working. The first page of the PDF will load, but the rest of the file never loads. This is causing serious issues for our users. What can we do to fix this?

    Hi George,

    It looks like this is a Chrome issue, with a possible solution here:

    https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/33077416?hl=en

    For some reason it appears to happen with protected files more often.

    Thanks for using our access restriction tool on your site and sorry to hear you have issues.

    Can you please indicate which version of Groups File Access and Groups plugins do you currently use?
    In general, Groups and its addons are capable of restricting or granting access to specific parts of your website like content, taxonomies or in this case files but they are not capable of altering the actual restricted content and therefore it is more possible that the issue is related to the actual file itself for example a failed or partial upload.
