Group statistics under main menu “Affiliates”

Hi itthinx-team!
The main menu of Affiliates Entreprise is quite long and therefore complex. How about improving the overview and usibility by merging analytics-related menu items into one single menu item.
The main statistis page should be “Affiliates Overview” [page = affiliates-admin]
Underneath that you could have horizontal tabs on top of that page, like WooCommerce uses them for Woocommerce/settings. The single tabs would be:
1) Visits & Referrals [page = affiliates-admin-hits]
2) Affiliates & Referrals [page = affiliates-admin-hits-affiliate]
3) Traffic [page = affiliates-admin-hits-uri]
So you would come up with something like
affiliates-admin
affiliates-admin-hits
affiliates-admin-hits-affiliate
affiliates-admin-hits-uri
This would make it much easier to understand the logic behing all those menu items, as it becomes quite obvious that they are all related to statistics.
Best,
Kai

Hey Kai,
Indeed, at this point this is just a matter of finding the best approach both for old and new customers.
Cheers,
George
Hi George!
I’m with you that it could be irritating to change menu items for longterm-users. But for newbees it might be exactly the opposite. During my first steps with Affiliates, it took me quite some time to figure out what each menu item stands for. Plus the complication of the German translation mixing “affiliates” and “partners” (affiliates is what is used in Germany for both). But that’s a different story.
Thanks,
Kai
Hi Kai,
Thanks for reaching our support forum with your suggestion.
Indeed grouping statistics pages under one single menu item would definitely make sense, keeping related pages together and reducing the menu items appearing under Affiliates.
However, it’s been quite a long time since this page setup has been in use and right now the only but important drawback I can imagine would be for the adoption of that modification by users of Affiliates plugin. Such an update would possibly confuse users who are used to the current page setup but despite that I wouldn’t reject your idea and keep it in mind for further investigation. I will add a feature-request tag on your topic, much appreciated.
Kind regards,
George
