Gravity Forms user registration doesn’t populate affiliate email field
—
by
I use the Gravity Forms user registration plugin to register new affiliates.
It works well, but it doesn’t populate affiliate email field. So, in the backend “Manage Affiliates” page, I see this exclamation point [ ! ] instead of their email address, with the message “There are different email addresses on record for the affiliate and the associated user. This might be ok, but if in doubt please check. The email address on file for the user is …”
This is because the affiliate user in WordPress has an email address, but the affiliate itself in Affiliates Pro has none. I can fix it by clicking the pencil icon and manually making the affiliate email the same as the WordPress user email, but I am hoping there is a way to automate this.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Wendy,
This happens because there is already an email recorded for the affiliate trying to register.
You should use the Gravity Form to register new users as well, not only affiliates. Please have a look at the documentation here, there is an option to automatically make new users affiliates.
If on the other hand, you want to make your existing users, affiliates, then you should also have a look at Affiliates Users extension, which has a function to make all your existing users, affiliates.
Kind regards,
George
