getting the affiliate url right – I need some dummy-type support

I’be set up Affiliates Pro and been wading through the documentation. My problem is that, despite countless tries, I can’t get the link to end in a referall. I copy and paste the affiliate url, created a dummy “customer” and “product”, sent The sale goes through, the payment is made and then the stats show the visit but not the referral.

I think I’m falling down with the url but I can’t figure out HOW to complete it and I’m not tech-savvy enough to understand what the documentation is telling me.

Can somebody please help?

OK, thank you for your help so far. I’ve now downloaded the additional plug-in, which I purchased. Next step is the instal so fingers crossed.

ok so I go to the cart and pay $59 for this one? Sorry, but i’m not very clear here.

    1. I suggested to use the coupon so it would only be 9$, doesn’t matter, we’ll just refund the original for the plain Affiliates Pro.

It shows the price as $59. Is that WITH discount or is there discount from that price?

And thank you again for your help. Your support is very good.

    1. Many thanks Ralph, we’re here to help.

The coupon will discount the full price of the Affiliates Pro plugin so that you effectively get the same price as if you had purchased the pack in the first place.

Yes, so I gather. When it was suggested that I use Affiliates Pro I wasn’t aware that additional plug-ins would be necessary. Seems a tad like selling a car then offering them the engine as a plug-in.

No matter, what I need now is assurance that if I add the PayPal plug-in I can achieve what I set out in the e-mail I sent you. If I get that assurance i’ll add the plug-in. If not, I’ll go shopping at another store.

    Thanks

    RW

    1. Hi Ralph,

The PayPal integration would be suitable for what you have described. You can upgrade using the coupon code shown in the Downloads section. Please use this to get the PayPal integration. Note that you will need a SSL certificate installed on the server for your domain in order to have IPNs handled securely (please get in touch with your provider if you do not already have one installed).

By the way, it’s not at all like the car-engine analogy you suggest. Besides providing free versions of the Affiliates plugin as well as several free integrations with very popular e-commerce platforms, the system is open to be integrated with any platform, it doesn’t matter whether it’s the free version, Pro or Enterprise.

      Cheers

Thank you. I will do that now. I’m sure I’m probably missing something basic but I have very little knowledge in this and was assured by a third party that this is dead easy to use.

    1. This sounds to me like you’re missing an integration plugin. I’ve checked your order which was for Affiliates Pro, but which e-commerce system will you be using for sales?
