Generated Coupon unlike in documentation

Hi. Im currently using Affiliate Pro, Coupon, Users, Woocommerce Integration, Permanent, Export.
Im having problems with the coupons generated as they are not following the naming convention in the documents.

I have set the prefit to be {affiliate_username} but the generated coupons always have “-x” (where x is a number) added to it.
I want the coupon to not add “-” dashes and even better if i can set the entire rule, not just the prefix.
For example : usera123 instead of usera123-1

Heres a link to a screenshot of the issue:

Hope you can assist. Thank you.

  1. Hi,

Yes you are right about that, for cases that we only generate one coupon per affiliate, the auto-increment is not necessary.
As we speak we are in the process of updating the plugin to apply that feature and once this is released you will find the prompt in your Dashboard to update.

    Thanks for pointing that out.

    Kind regards,
    George

    Hi. Thanks for the reply.
Well, shouldn’t the auto-increment not be appended if the “coupon per affiliate” is set to 1?
currently im working around the problem with using the prefix “{affiliate_username}{random,0}” , but that isnt exactly ideal.
But would love to have this issue resolved. Or if you can point to which php code in the plugin i need to change.

Its probably much easier to let the user control the entire generation logic.

    Thanks again.

  3. Hi,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

The number added as a suffix is the auto-increment used to indicate which one is the coupon created. In your case you probably have chosen to create one coupon per affiliate and therefore each coupon has a trailing -1 added.
This way it is easier to distinguish which is the first, second, third etc coupon created when a sequence of coupons is created for the same affiliate.
I will have a look at the addon in case this can be avoided in cases where only one coupon is created per affiliate.

    Kind regards,
    George
