Finding a deleted referral

Hi – my client thinks that she deleted a referral that she shouldn’t have. So far, I can’t find the order that isn’t associated with an affiliate (I have a column in Woocommerce orders that shows the affiliate name on the row of each order). I logged into my hosting environment to see if I could find a database entry that shows a deleted referral but I’m not quite sure where to look. Is wptu_aff_referrals the correct place? I’m seeing a status column but those seem to coincide with accepted, rejected, closed and pending…not deleted/removed. Does X-ing out a referral delete it from the database or is there another place to look? I’m hoping that she only thinks she made a mistake, but wanted to see if there’s anywhere I can double check. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply! I knew it said “this action can’t be undone” but 2 years ago I accidentally completed a different action that said “this action can’t be undone” and I was able to get it back (it wasn’t easy and was a very manual process) so I thought maybe it was still in the database somewhere. 🙂 It was a “direct” referral that she thought that she deleted. The action would not have deleted the Woocommerce order so if we end up with a discrepancy somewhere, we’ll figure it out. I appreciate your time, though!

Thanks again! Have a great weekend.

  3. Hi Erica,

Welcome back to our support forum.
Yes, the db table named wp_aff_referrals is the correct table to look into, but when a referral is deleted, it is also removed from the database as you can see in this screenshot: https://imgur.com/v89X8qT

However, if all your orders have an affiliate credited and under Affiliates > Settings > Referrals(tab), the option to Store direct referrals is enabled then it is almost certain that your client didn’t delete the referral.

    Kind regards,
    George
