Excluding user referral data

I do not pay user registration or new affiliate commissions yet. I only pay commission on sales. So I have not enabled the user registration integration.

I am trying to set up the affiliate area with charts and not sure when the word “referral is used” if this means sale or registered user/new affiliate. Will this data still show in the chart at 0? If so is there a way to remove that from the stat charts?
