Hi George!
I have updated to Affiliates Pro V 3.0.0 and use
– Affiliates Events Manager V 2.1.0
– Events Manager V 5.8.1.1
– Events Manager Pro V 2.5.1
It is still the same as I posted here: https://www.itthinx.com/topic/issue-with-events-manager-when-using-cupons/
The refferal rate is calculated from the full ticket price when using cupons, and not from the discounted price!
And with the new version cupons assigned to an affiliate as an attribute don´t work. I.e. no reffereal is created. On the other hand, any cupons work, when the customer enters the website coming by an affiliate link. But calculation N O T from discounted ticket price!
Best regards
Rudi

Hi Rudolf,
It seems that your site has issues.
If i use your theme, the site front-end is not accessible. If i switch to a default theme like twentyfifteen, the booking cannot be completed, so i’m not able to track the booking and referral details.
Cheers,
George
HI Rudolf,
I see, that’s OK. I will reset my password and carry on with my tests. Thanks for letting me know.
Cheers,
George
Hi George!
I had some issues with the plugin “Pixelbar Custom Sharing Bar” when activating the debugging mode. So I set back the demo site to the latest backup. So You have to reset Your password again. Sorry!
I have deactivated the plugin, otherwise logging into the WP dashboard is not possible. But when You are logged in, You will have to activate “Pixelbar Custom Sharing Bar” plugin, otherwise the site doesn´t work.
I will ask the developer for a solution, but I thought I don´t want to do this parallel while You are investigating …
Now the MU Plugin from WP Rocket is active again, and the calculation is wrong again.Just tell me, when I should delete it.
Many thanks
Rudi
You are welcome Rudolf,
Thanks for providing all the feedback.
Regarding coupons, you can add as many as you like in affiliates attributes, as long as you separate them by commas, like the way i added the second coupon.
Can you also enable WP debugging? It seems that it is not active.
Cheers,
George
Hi Georg!
Many thanks for testing. There is a small plugin under MU plugins, the WP Rocket guys codes for me.This plugin purges the WP rocket cache when a booking is created. Therefore WP Rocket must be active, ozherwise it causes the error You got.
See the plugin here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3rr9ipkwm05xdhh/wp-rocket-purge.zip?dl=0
They helped me with this because otherwise the number of available spaces in the EM Widget on the home-page is not changed until the cache is cleared (even when I exclude EM booking pages from caching).
I have deleted this plugin from the mu-plugins directory, and now the calculation is like it should be even with WP Rocket on.
Do You have any idea on this or some hints for me, when contacting the WP rocket support?
Regarding the cupons as an attribute: I have to separate them by decimal like You did? I wanted to add another cupon as attribute …
Many thanks!
Best regards
Rudi
Thanks Rudolf I’ve reset the password and got access.
On my first booking i had the same results as you did, but when i tried to cancel that booking, i got the error shown in the screenshot with WP Rocket disabled.
Furthermore, after the error the booking was cancelled but i wasn’t able to make another booking for that event anymore. If you enable debugging, please let me know to perform additional tests because there are errors indicated.
Regarding coupon attributes, i have added the coupon code bbb for affiliate George.
Kind regards,
George
Hi George!
You have admin access on demo.funkzeugnis.info. if you don’t have the password, please just reset.
On my site a commission of €:10 instead 8 is calculated. And I only can add one coupon as an attribute per affiliate.
See affiliate I’D 4 and coupon AAA
Many thanks!
Cheers
Rudi
Hi Rudolf,
You are correct.
Tax will be deducted only if you use a tax. Also, if a coupon is applied, the discounted price will be used for the commission calculation. In your example, the commission should be €8 and not 10.
As long as your affiliate attribute coupon(s) is(are) the same as the Events Manager coupon code(s), not the name, the calculations will be normal. Perhaps this is your issue.
FYI, you can use several coupon codes as affiliates attributes.
The reason i asked for access to your site, is because even with the latest versions of the plugins, i get the correct results in my test installation.
Kind regards,
George
And I only can add one cupon as an attribute per affiliate. Is this correct?
Hi George,
I don´t use taxes (i.e. VAT = 0%) and I have st in EM that tax is not added.
You write “The booking price used to calculate commissions doesn’t include the tax and a coupon discount” – I think this is the same what I have.
For example:
Ticket €100, coupon €20 – customer pays €80 and with refferal rate 0.1 (i.e. 10%) a commission of €10 is calculated. I my opinion this should be € 8 only.
And sorry, I forcot that cupons are case sensitive in EM. If a cupon is set as attribute, the coupon grants the respective affiliate with a commission when it is applied for a booking.
Kind regards
Rudi
Hi Rudolf,
I’ve tried an event booking with the latest plugin versions, the same as your installation and all the prices are calculated correctly. The booking price used to calculate commissions doesn’t include the tax and a coupon discount. Also, the coupon granted the respective affiliate with a commission whenever it was applied for a booking.
I think it’s better if i had a look at your installation, to check what is causing this inconsistency. Please send me temp admin access to george@itthinx.com. Also, don’t forget to enable WP debugging in case there is an error logged that could help with my investigation. I will have a look asap and notify you.
Kind regards,
George
