Customer ID [Urgent]

Hi,

Thanks for a great plugin.

We have many affiliates asking if they can give their customers their database (ours) generated CID, which can be entered into a text field on the checkout page for Woo.

The text field would say something like: “Who Referred You?” ___________

Similar to this page: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pf7k66da9lmt8ys/Screenshot%202018-05-02%2007.27.51.png?dl=0

although we only need one text field.

Thanks in advance,
David

    It’s not the same.
The version shipped with Affiliates Pro is more advanced – has more features.
I will send you a copy of the integration to the mail used on checkout.

    Cheers,
    George

    Hi David,

Please make sure you have installed and activated Affiliates WooCommerce integration.
If after that the issue persists, enable WP debugging and send me temp admin access to george@itthinx.com.

    Hi David,

Sure no problem, you can find your affiliate ID’s under Affiliates > Manage Affiliates. There you can see the affiliate link and affiliate URL parameter. In both cases the number that appears is the affiliate ID.
    For example:
If the affiliate link is something like http://www.example.com?affiliates=2
    The affiliate ID is 2.

In turn, each of your affiliates will see their affiliate link and ID in the Affiliate Area page. You may also share with your affiliates my latest post with title How to start earning in the Affiliate business. It is a brief description on how to use Affiliates plugin by an affiliate’s point of view.

    Cheers,
    George

  7. Hi George,

    Uploaded and testing.

Sorry if this question has an obvious answer, but, don’t see an Affiliate ID in dashboard. Is this the same as the username?

Assigning a number to each affiliate will be, by far, the most seamless method for our affiliates.

    Thanks,
    David

    Hi David,

I have sent you the addon by email.
All you need to do is upload it in your site through Plugins > Add New and upload the zip file attached.
After installing and activating, a new field will appear on checkout where the customer can either add the referrer’s email address or id and the respective affiliate will be credited with a referral.

    Kind regards,
    George

  9. thanks George…

I will modify the addon and send you instructions on how to use it.

    Cheers,
    George

  11. so, this code needs to be inserted into the woocommerce folder?

    also, does it require AFFILIATES_WOO_REFERRER_PLUGIN?

    Thanks George…

    Hi David,

There is an already existing free addon which adds a text field on checkout for the referrer email address. You can find it here. It can be easily modified to utilize the affiliate ID instead of the email address.

    Kind regards,
    George
