Custom change affiliate link
—
by
The closest I could find is https://www.itthinx.com/topic/change-affiliate-link/ but I’m interested if it is possible to assign a separate custom link/page for each affiliate. I do not want to use duplications of the main parent page of the site but custom and unique pages which the affiliate could link to from their site. Thank you.

Hey Karel,
You’re welcome. If you wish to choose or let the affiliate choose which page to use, you need to:
1. Create those pages
2. Create a form that will allow you or the affiliate to select the desired page and Save that selection to the database, but also list each page and the affiliate user that is using it.
3. Modify the Affiliates Dashboard Overview template, where you should first check the affiliate id that is logged in and render the selected page URL for that affiliate.
Please note that all three steps need custom development because such an option is not supported by the core plugin options. This is also the reason why you couldn’t find such an option. These are the basic steps needed for you to make this happen but you would also need ie a preview of each landing page especially if the affiliate is going to choose which page to use, or a template system if your affiliates would like to modify the template themselves.
Also, the suffix with the affiliate URL param and id are necessary, or otherwise the affiliate will simply share a page to your site that obviously won’t track any referrals.
Kind regards,
George
Thank you for the response George, so how does the affiliate or myself choose the custom landing page? I would like a unique and different landing page for each affiliate (completely different in content, for example), not a copy of a global central landing page with some ?id=234 slapped on the end. I went through all the options extensively and could not find how to do this.
Hi Karel,
Thanks for using our affiliates plugin on your site, much appreciated.
Each affiliate can of course use their own landing page on your site without limitation. using the custom design of your choice. The only requirement is to share on their sites and other sources their affiliate link to that page. To put it this way, as long as the affiliate shares his/her affiliate link, it doesn’t matter where this link goes as long as it goes to the site running the affiliate plugin. The design and structure of this landing page won’t affect the referral tracking process.
Kind regards,
George
