Create the capabilities and assiging to groups at same time

Hi There,

We have purchased a license for Groups Import Export plugin. We have notice that this Plugin have option to “Create new groups if they do not exist” but now option to create and assign the capabilities to group at the same time.

Just wondering to know is there any other import plugin that we can use to do the above bulk task in one go or any other solution?

    Hi Daniel,

    I’ve created the helper extension to export import capabilities.
    You can download the zip file from GitHub and install as a normal plugin.
    It is recommended that before importing capabilities, you should first import groups, so after running the import on Groups Import-Export, then you can run the import on Groups Import-Export-Capabilities.

    Hi Daniel,

    You will be able to use the plugin i create for free. I’m only developing it because this is a useful feature and because i can’t say for sure when the next version of Groups Import Export plugin will be on air.
    Once this feature is included in Groups Import Export plugin, you will simply update it and delete my custom plugin.

    In general, if your itthinx license is active you will get notified in your Dashboard>Plugins for new plugin versions. Updates include bug fixes and new features.

    Hi Daniel,

    At the moment you can’t export capabilities along side with groups.
    However, this feature will be included in the next version of Groups Import Export plugin.
    Also, i’m currently developing an additional plugin to import-export capabilities so that you can have this feature available sooner.
    Once this is ready, i will notify you to download it.

      So should we need to buy a separate license for new plugin or will the upgrade of the existing plugin will have this feature?
