Coupons for woocommerce not working for me

I’m trying to set up the coupons feature for affiliates pro with woocommerce. I create a coupon in the store. Then I assign the coupon code to an affiliate. I make a purchase using the code. The discount is applied to the cart correctly, however the affiliate is not credited for the sale. How can I fix this? Thanks.

When I use the direct affiliate link, then the affiliate is credited.

  1. Closing this topic – if coupons don’t seem to work on your site, please make sure you have the correct integration plugin installed. Most Light integrations and the integrations that come with packs are different.

  2. Hi , I am having the same problem , updated to all recent versions, My all coupon sales are assigned as direct and not to affiliate to whom coupon is assigned. Any Solutions ?

    1. Please provide details on how you have set up the coupon and grant admin access to your site to support at itthinx dot com.

      1. Hi Kento…I have mailed you the admin settings for the same.

        Thanks

        1. Thanks, you have the WooCommerce Integration Light installed. You must replace that by the integration plugin for WooCommerce that is included with the Affiliates Pro pack for WooCommerce, as the light integration does not support coupons.

  3. Hi there – I am experiencing the same issue with my affiliate and woocommerce coupons. I have tried all the tips in the forums including verifying that the capitalization of the coupon code is consistent. I am still showing referrals as “Direct” when the customer actually used an affiliate coupon code. Anything else I can try?

I have updated versions of all relevant plugins. Thanks

    1. Hi,

Hmmm, if the coupons are assigned and case is consistent, then the referral should really be assigned to the appropriate affiliate. If it doesn’t, then you might have a conflicting plugin. Have you tried disabling everything else, enabled debugging and using a standard theme to check if there are any errors in the logs?

We are having the same problem…is there a way to provide affiliates without websites a code at checkout to track their referrals?

      Hi,
you can use coupons for this purpose.
      1.- Create a Woocommerce coupon.
2.- Editing an affiliate, add attribute ‘coupon’ with same name that woocommerce coupon.
All customers that use this coupon generate a commission to this affiliate.
      cheers

I updated my TEST coupon with a value of zero. I also checked out all the settings of the Affiliates plugin. Still not working. All referrals were going to “Direct”, then I just turned off that setting, so now they’re just not coming up as referrals at all.

    Any other ideas?

My client needs to launch their site tomorrow, so we’re going to move ahead without this for now, but I definitely want to get it working ASAP.

Please let me know how we can receive additional support for this (e.g. if I should create an Admin account for you to go into our implementation or if there’s another way to troubleshoot).

Thanks again! If we can get this to work, it’ll be a great feature for my client’s site!

    Hi Antonio,
Yes I have the “Coupons” attribute added to each affiliate.

I don’t have any of the coupons giving discounts at check out, though. I just want to use them to track referrals.

    Thanks!

      Hi,
if the buyer does not use the coupon, then no referral is generated.
You can create woocommerce’s discount coupons with value zero.
      cheers

I just upgrade to the newest WooCommerce… still not working. The backend shows that all sales are being credited to ‘Direct’ (the default affiliate).

Any ideas? Any input and help is much appreciated!

      Hi,
Have you added the attribute “coupon” to the affiliate?

I’m having the same problem. I’m using the latest versions of your plugins, but my WooCommerce is back on version 2.0.3. Could that be causing the issue?

  9. Please update the WooCommerce integration plugin to the latest version 1.3.2, this will fix the issue you have described with the coupons not being recognized for the affiliate. After that, please verify it again using the process you have described. You should see the referral being credited to the affiliate who is associated with the coupon code then.
