Commission Totals are inaccurate
—
by
Using Enterprise with WooCommerce on a 2 Tier Affiliate program.
After editing and incorrectly placed order the Totals for Affiliate Commissions stopped accurately reporting commissions on Sales made.
What can we do to correct this?
Thank you
Eric

Everything is working now as it should!
Thank you Eugen for your support!
Hello Eugen
For our 2 Tier Affiliate Program, we are only paying commissions for Products or Services Sold.
Tier 1 40% of the order total before shipping
Tier 2 10% of the order total before shipping
Like your example: Affiliate Eric has referred Affiliate Eugen.
The general rate is 0.4
The level 1 rate is 0.1
Eugen refers a new sale of 100 USD
Eugen will get 40 USD commission
Eric will get 10 USD tiered commission
I have made all the changes but the Totals still not reflecting the commissions. How long does it take to update or is it only on future orders placed?
Hi Eric,
Happy new week! I trust you are well and safe!
The totals should update after editing the referral that was made. This is done as soon you update the referral amount.
On future orders, the totals would also get updated.
Kind regards,
Eugen.

Hi Eric,
Thank you for sharing the login details.
After taking a close look at the rates setup, I could notice you don’t have a general rate setup, which in turn won’t let tiered commissions be recorded. Furthermore, it is also worth noting that the rates for tier levels are relative; a commission for each level is a proportion of the OR commission, not the sale.
Your setup is fine for referred sales if you intend to only give commissions for specific products. However, this setup will not product tiered commissions for referrals coming from a Contact Form submission.
You can see an example of this here:
* http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates-enterprise/tiers/
Here’s another example:
Assume that affiliate Eric has referred affiliate Eugen.
The general rate is 0.4
The level 1 rate is 0.1
Eugen refers a new sale of 100 USD
Eugen will get 40 USD commission
Eric will get 10 USD tiered commission
The general rate is 0.4
The level 1 rate is 0.1 relative
Eugen refers a new sale of 100 USD
Eugen will get 40 USD commission
Eric will get 10% of 40 = 4 USD
Next, if you intend to give commissions only to specific products, then the general rate would not be necessary.
In addition to this, a general rate can be a rate that is set for a specific product. It’s not an obligation to set a rate that has no other attributes set, for the tiered commissions to be correctly granted. In this situation only rates 14-22 will grant a referral and considering they are all set to rates of 0, you would only get a commission of zero. For example, consider the last referral made by Josephine:
https://ibb.co/mbPD0FT
https://ibb.co/93kP2dF
https://ibb.co/Jsp17b7
Explains why she has zero(0) as a commission.
I would recommend you give the desired rates for the actual products (rates 14-22) so these rates can be applied and not the zero rate.
To best understand how tiered commissions work, please have a look at this resource in which we’ve demystified affiliate tiers:

I remain available if you have any further inquiries.
STAY SAFE and I wish you a very fine rest of your day!
Kind regards,
Eugen.
