Hi Brennen,
The new plugin has been released, so if you don’t get an update notification, simply delete the Affiliates Pay Per Click and then reinstall it from Affiliates>Settings>Integrations.
Cheers
Yay!
I think we’re almost there.
I am now able to put in a decimal number of say a .001 cents per visit, which means that the affiliate gets paid $1 for every 1,000 visits. The reason I go with this setting versus putting a setting of $1 per 1,000 visits is because of the way this system accounts for referrals.
With my settings, for every visit there’s a referral. This looks better on the affiliate’s end when checking stats. It’s easier to understand.
If I were to set it up for $1 per every 1,000 visits, it’ll take 1,000 visits for my affiliate to finally see a referral. And that to me is the problem. Your referral accounting method. Because let’s just say a referral sends 25 hits my way, with my setup they’ll see 25 referrals, whereas with the way it was before it’ll show $0.00.
Now here is where I segue into what the problem is, although we’re inching closer to a solution that I can use.
The problem is still your accounting method for referrals.
I am now able to change the PPC settings to .001 as seen by the video here: http://screencast.com/t/Js1wVus6
BUT when I go to the referrals screen, they’re all being logged in as zero dollars instead, which can be seen here: http://screencast.com/t/sCpBYOXAsCl
Notice how even when I go in to edit the commissions, it changes back to .00.
That’s a problem for me, as with my site I’m not selling anything. I’m using your affiliate program to get others to help promote my site’s content.
So for me, there’s two clear things that either need to work for this to be the solution for me, either count the stats, all of the stats, even fractions or percentages…meaning that if I set PPC option to be $1 for every 1,000 visits and the affiliate only send 20, show me the stats and give the affiliate credit for those 20 instead of them having to wait for the 1,000 visits to come for them to get credit for the referral.
If this option works, there’s no need for the second option, which is to allow decimal points to at least 5 places, which seems to be the problem as evidenced in the second video how it just reverts to 0.00 when I tried to change it.
That’s pretty much my two cents, but we’re definitely moving in the right direction with this update, just not all the way there yet.
*that hasn’t posted
and also I sent an email to George. He sent me over another zip file of the plugin, but don’t know if that was in reference to the problem that OP posted or to my forum post, since that hasn’t hit the forum yet.
Hi Brennen,
This last comment of yours was pending and I wanted to ask if this has been resolved or if you need further help.
Cheers
Everything’s working but I posted another topic that has posted to forum yet about. I think it’s still pending but my main issue now is not being able to set the pay per click amount below $1 like you suggested on that we could do on the pay per click page found here: http://www.itthinx.com/plugins/affiliates-ppc/
It states on that page:
“Commissions can be paid to affiliates based on clicks or visits to their affiliate links. For example, the system can be set up to pay affiliates $0.70 for every 100 Daily Visits.”
But as you can see by video grab, that is not the case, and this was the main reason why I bought this plugin. If this feature doesn’t work for me, then I have no use for it.

Thanks!
Hi Brennen,
We’re preparing an updated version which avoids the issue with the decimals you have shown in the screencast. This depends on the browser used I would consider this to be a bug – we’ve already fixed it and are preparing the updated release for it, you should have access to it today.
Thank you very much for your patience and for identifying the issue.
Cheers
Thanks! Would the update hit just like any other update would and automatically alert me to update?
I’m also having the same issue. And this was the only reason that I bought the plugin, was for this ppc module. I just purchased 20 minutes ago and already having issues.
Hi Brennen,
Can you please check the Troubleshooting section at the end of this page http://docs.itthinx.com/document/itthinx-updates/ to see if you have any conflicting plugins installed?
Please also email support at itthinx dot com and make sure to include a link to this comment so we can provide the files to you. Also we would like to check your setup, if you could please provide admin access to the email indicated so we can make sure that in the future you don’t have any such issues.
Cheers
