Can’t customize the Affiliate Registration notification email.

Hello I can’t get the subject or message to change at all for the registration email I have tried many times and it never sends what it saves. it always sends the default email

Username: [username]
Password: [password]
and http://www.mysite.com/wp-login.php

I would like to add some more info or at least send them to the url that I have set up.

For example at a minimum i would like the email the get after registration to say

username
password
www.mysite.com/rep-login

Also I’m having problems with the username plugin.

I have tried www.mysite.com/store/username
and www.mysite.com/rep/username

What happens is it will work for a couple hours then I always get the 404 page. I can reset the /XXXX/username and all is good for a couple hours to a day then 404 is back?

Thanks

  1. I have made these changes in Affiliates > Notifications, but it continues to only show the default email and not the updates that I made.

Also, the affiliate signup page is still not aligned even after adding suggested code to CSS. http://barefut.com/affiliatesignup/

    1. Hi Phillip,

Please don’t hijack other topics but post on your original topic or create a new one 🙂

We’ll have a look at your page in any case.

      Cheers

  2. First off, Just to clear things up we’re using affiliate enterprise with woo commerce integration and username plugin.

On your sales page for affiliates by username, you state that “http://www.example.com/affiliates/billy” can be used for the affiliate link structure. In the reply you gave me to my question as shown above, you told me that that link structure no longer works. That’s false advertisement, you can’t tell someone that something works then they purchase it and then inform the customer it actually doesn’t work.

Also, is there a specific reason that that link structure does NOT work?

I’m no longer getting the 404 error when using that link structure after turning off my cache plugin. Either way I would like a refund because I am going to use a sub domain for each person that links to each person’s standard affiliate link.

The affiliate registration notification email custom message is still not working. Everything that you told me to check in the above reply that you supplied was already setup. I’ve tried numerous different subjects and messages and I ALWAYS get the same email upon registering as a affiliate which is:

    username:
    password:
    http://www.mysite.com/wp-login.php

I even tried word for word what you have in the picture on the documentation page

Welcome to the Affiliate Program on [site_title]

Please find you access details below:

    Username: [username]
    Password: [password]

    Log in here:[site_login_url]

    Aloha, [site_title]

    I still only get

    username:
    password:
    http://www.mysite.com/wp-login.php

    1. Hi Hannah,

Regarding the Affiliates by Username and the deprecated use of the form you had seen, there was outdated information on the product page but that was not intended. See also this comment. You’ll see the credit refunded for the corresponding order.

Regarding your email issue, please email admin access to support at itthinx dot com and indicate a link to this topic so that we can check your settings.

      Cheers

  3. Hi Hannah,

Can you please check the following settings:

    – Under Affiliates > Notifications the option Enable registration emails should be checked.
    – In that section, the Subject and Message fields should be set up with the customized content.
    – Under Affiliates > Options the option Allow affiliate registration should be enabled.
    – You’re using the [affiliates_registration] shortcode to allow affiliates to register (or the Gravity Forms integration).

    Documentation reference : Notifications

Regarding the URLs, you are using a deprecated format, please use this instead:

    http://www.example.com/?rep=username
