Can we use promo code / coupons to track referrals?

Hi !

I have sent an email but didn’t hear back from you regarding this issue we have. We need to assign promo codes to affiliates and track referrals based on those.

Right now, embed code is assigned and tracking is done based on this embed code. We have membership website and we have integrated gravity forms with afffiliates plugin to register members.

    For the record, an updated version of Affiliates Gravityforms that support Gravity Forms Coupons addon has already been released.

    That will be very helpful but I would suggest to take a look at our site first in order to understand our requirements. By the way, how much will it cost us and is it safe to share our site credentials here?

    Second thing, is there any chat feature or phone number to reach you? This ticket process sometimes take too much time.

    Hi Ali,

    The process I described on my previous comment is the process that must be followed for such a plugin in order to work with our Affiliates plugins.
    If you have coding experience with PHP you are welcome to build it by yourself, otherwise I will implement an addon for you.

    Hi Ali,

    If you are only using Gravity Forms, then you need a custom implementation-plugin that will utilize the following:
    1) Check that the order has been paid, depending on your payment gateway, get the equivalent response.
    2) Read the coupon code upon form submission.
    3) Check that the coupon is valid, not expired and not exceeding usage limit.
    4) Check if the coupon belongs to a valid affiliate.
    5) Grant an additional commission to the coupon-owner, the affiliate.

    Thanks for quick response but thing is, we are NOT using WooCommerce. So, I was thinking of a way to use coupon plugin with gravity forms in order to track referrals. Like we can add coupon field in gravity form and then track who uses this code?

    Hi Ali,

    Affiliates Pro plugin supports coupons but are compatible with WooCommerce. Whenever a customer uses a coupon on a purchase that is assigned to an affiliate, the affiliate will get a commission.
    If you are using WooCommerce for memberships, you can use coupons for your affiliates as described in the documentation.
