Can we add Affiliate link by shortcode to email newsletters?

We are using WooCommerce “Follow up Emails” extension to automatically send members regular emails based on their Group, Subscription type etc and we use Affiliates Enterprise to grant free affiliate membership to promote the site.

To make it easier for members to share their affiliate link without necessarily having to login to get it, can we use a shortcode in the emails that will automatically insert the members correct link when the email is generated and sent?

  2. Thanks for the explanation Paul.

Sorry but the notifications that support affiliates notification tokens are mentioned here.

    Thanks

  3. Hi George

Apologies if this was not clear.

On our site, all users are automatically registered as affiliates and as such, my question was with regard to the general emails that they will all receive as site members – for which we are using the WooCommerce “Follow up Emails” extension.

So, if possible, it would be great just to be able to insert a shortcode into the standard email templates, which would then generate / send each user a valid “affiliate link” – which we are then assuming is going to make it easier for them to then share / drive traffic etc .

    Regards,
    Paul

  4. Hi Paul,

To be honest, i’m not sure i completely understood what you are trying to achieve. 🙂
The newsletter would be sent to potential customers, or users and potential affiliates?
Basically, when a user registers as affiliate, he/she gets a notification email with the affiliate id for example, if the notifications in the Affiliates plugin are enabled and configured properly.

    Kind regards,
    George
