Can Affiliate Enterprise have per product commission structures at different tiers
—
by
I need to figure out how to structure the commissions I need for my affiliates.
Can you please help me figure out the best way to do this.
My primary need is – I need to know that this Affiliate Enterprise plugin that I’ve bought can allow for per product commission structures at different tiers. Can it do this?
My commissions cannot only be flat, as I have different products, and each product needs to have different affiliate commission setup. Mostly they are flat rates. I also need different groups, who would have different commissions:
Standard Group
Product A = $3300 product
Affiliate commission 1st tier/level $600.00
Affiliate commission 2nd tier/level $175.00
Affiliate commission 3rd tier/level $75.00
Super Group
I also need to be able to hand pick super affiliates who get more of a commission:
They would get $1100 for their 1st tier
Any of their sub-Affiliate get commission 1st tier $600.00
Any of their sub-sub-Affiliate get commission 2nd tier $175.00
Any of their sub-sub-sub-Affiliate get commission 3rd tier $75.00
Basic Group
Then I also need to set other affiliates who have a lesser commission:
Affiliate commission only one tier $400.00
But anyone who refers those Basic affiliates, the other 2 levels still work so they are rewarded for recommending them:
Affiliate commission 2nd tier $175.00
Affiliate commission 3rd tier $75.00
Product B = $4000 product
Affiliate commission only one level $300.00
Product C = $200 product
Affiliate commission only one level 20%
1. Can I setup different groups of affiliates, for example Super Affiliates, and give them special rates?
2. Can I make it so that only one product (A) has the tiered structure, and not the others, because only my product A needs the sub-affiliates, mlm style tiered structure. Could my other products can each have a simple standard commission override?
3. If not, can I manually just delete any commissions that could come through on the 2nd and 3rd tiers for the other products (except product A), with all of this clearly explained on the site, that there are no 2nd/3rd level commissions on those other products. Would this work?
4. Is it possible to make this Affiliates Enterprise integrate with the membership system Paid Membership Pro?
I’d love some help to help me think creatively on how I could set this up.
Big thank you.

Regarding commissions decimal points, please have a look at affiliates_referral_amount_decimals and affiliates_earnings_decimals filters.
Cheers
You are welcome Barnaby,
Tier commissions are affiliate oriented, the affiliate records the referral aka gets the new customer. If though you want to disable tier for a specific affiliate, you can set all his level rates to 0 ( zero ).
All the fields used in the registration form are usermeta text fields. You can add your custom fields to the form under Affiliates > Settings > Registration. Although boolean fields are not supported i will propose this new feature for a future update.
Affiliates plugins support a variety of e-commerce systems. Other than popularity, another major factor to decide whether to integrate or not with a third-party system, is how “pluggable” this system is.
All new features/suggestions are more than welcome and in your case, i will forward the topic for further investigation.
Kind regards,
George
7. Could you update the system to allow for commissions to have 3 decimal points, instead of 2?
This would allow for more precision payments.
Thank you so much for these answers! This allows me to move forward with your system.
I’ve just got these questions and functionality requests to make your system even more remarkable:
1. To set different affiliate commissions per product, that is awesome! but can I even set different tiered rates per product? Or, could I actually just off tiered rates completely for some products? If not, could you add sometime soon this functionality for different tiered rates per product, and/or the ability to turn off tiers per product?
2. When affiliates register, I can add my own questions to ask them. Is there a way to have a question be only a YES/NO answer? If so, how could that be done? If not, could you add this functionality?
3. Based upon their YES/NO answer, could I run a filter of affiliates for everyone who said NO and then edit their individual affiliate commissions accordingly?
4. Would you be able to add a Groups feature sometime soon, that had pre-set affiliate commissions, and that I could select affiliates and add them to that group – thus saving from always having to manually edit each individual affiliate?
5. If you made this Groups feature, could it be linked to YES/NO answers in the sign up form? That would of course be amazing.
6. On your site you say that it could integrate with virtually any ecommerce platform. This is why I’m asking about the membership system Paid Membership Pro, which is one of the main leading membership systems. Surely it would not be too difficult to do so. What would it take to integrate with that? Would you to do this sometime soon?
Kind regards
Barnaby
Hi Barnaby,
Sorry but Affiliates plugin integrates only with Groups WooCommerce and WooCommerce Subscriptions to sell memberships.
You can set different rates per product after installing Affiliates WooCommerce Integration for example if you use WooCommerce. It can be found under Affiliates > Settings > Integrations. Then, after following the instructions under Affiliates > WooCommerce Integration, you should set the rate per product under the product edit page. There will be another option called Affiliates.
Although, you can’t organize affiliates to groups, you can set the tier rates per affiliate. After enabling tiers under Affiliates > Tiers, you should go to Affiliates > Manage Affiliates and edit each affiliate. You will see there tier fields to set the rate per level.
All your referrals can be managed under Affiliates > Referrals. There you can edit or delete the referrals you choose. The screen also provides filters to narrow down the results using dates, specific affiliates or searching in the referral descriptions.
Kind regards,
George
