Campaing not pull the group recipients

Hi,

Inspite of follow the document instructions I’m not being able to receive a newsletter.

-The setting is right, I receive the test email.
-I create a Story and add it to the newsletter
-On the Newsletter I mark a group recipient
-I create a campaign for that Newsletter and run

But I don’t receive the email, and on Campaign page I see running (queued) 0 / 0 – when the group have 2 users.
I conclude that Camapign is not pulling the group recipients.

What I’m doing wrong?

In the other hand, I can’t add subscribers manually? Check the screenshot

Thank you
Pablo

  1. You’re welcome Pablo.

    Cheers

  2. Hi Pablo,

    Thanks for providing access to your site.
    The newsletter campaign runs properly and the reason why you had 0 emails pending in queue was because the group members involved were not subscribed to newsletters in general, they were only members of the group.
    I have enabled the option under Newsletters > Settings to show the subscription option in the user profile and then added two users as subscribers, an existing user and a new one using my email address. After that action my test user received the newsletter and probably your other user has received it as well. If you visit Users list you will notice that two of the Prueba group members are also newsletter subscribers.

    Kind regards,
    George

      Thank you George, now is clear. Thanks again for your support.

  3. Hi Pablo,

    The scheduled task seems correct but what doesn’t seem correct is that you get 0 emails queued as if the newsletter is set to be sent to nobody or as if the group has no members.
    Would it be possible to have a look at your Dashboard? I think it’s better to check your setup closely and in case there is something wrong on your site in general, I would also recommend you to enable WP debugging. For the temp admin account you may also use my personal email, george at itthinx dot com and for enabling debugging please follow this procedure:
    Edit your wp-config.php file and replace this line:

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false );

    with these lines:

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, false );

    All logs will be stored in your site’s root folder under wp-content/debug.log file.

    Kind regards,
    George

  4. Hi Pablo,

    Thanks for using our newsletter plugin on your site, much appreciated.

    What happens if you check your running campaign again? Does it still have 0 email newsletters in queue? Is it possible that you are limited in the amount of emails that can be sent daily by your mail server?
    Furthermore, please also check your WP Cron and make sure that is running properly. The test email is sent once you hit the button but the campaign itself is running via WP Cron and for that reason it is directly affected by cron status on your system.
    You can find further details on the Troubleshooting section of the plugin documentation.

    Kind regards,
    George

      Hi George,

      I checked again. While camppaign is running it shows “running (queued) 0 / 0” and finally it shows “executed”.

      I’m not limited in the amount if emails, in fact, I’m using a 3rd party service and is working fine.

      I checked with WP Control and the event “groups_newsletters_work” is settled as “not repeat”, is right that recurrence configuration?
