It’s not something specific to the WunderSlider, rather more related to bandwidth and quality considerations and the geometry of the majority of devices that your site will be viewed with, as well as the layout of the site itself (including whether it will be responsive, fixed width etc).
As a start, images 800 pixels wide at 500 pixels height (16:10 ratio) give a decent quality while their file size is still kept small.
Other opinions would certainly be welcome here as well 🙂
