Attribute & Coupon question

Hi there,

If I put a % referral rate across all affiliates but then add an attribute to an individual affiliate, will this change to their default rate or will this be added in addition to the rate across the board?

With assigning coupons, just to clarify, you give an affiliate a 20% off coupon so they can pass it on to their customers as an incentive. Their customers pay 20% less off their entire purchase. The affiliate still gets the same % rate but only off the entire purchase amount, which had the 20% decrease included. Correct?

Just one other question, can this plugin handle hundreds of affiliates?
Thanks for your time ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Hi,

If you add an attribute, it will override the default setting that is applied in general. For example, if you indicate a rate of 0.1 (for 10%) under Affiliates > Settings and then add an attribute with a rate of 0.2 (for 20%) to affiliate X, affiliate X will earn 20% commissions instead of the 10% that other affiliates get.

Regarding coupons, yes, the commission that the affiliate gets is based on the discounted order amount.

The plugin can handle an unlimited amount of affiliates. Hundreds, thousands, … there’s no limitation to the amount of affiliates. It’s rather a question of whether the underlying infrastructure can handle the traffic ๐Ÿ˜‰
